No Niche Income?

25 September, 2007 (05:20) | General | By: Patti

Maki over at Dosh Dosh has written an article on making money without a niche. A niche tends to focus on a specific topic area. The conventional wisdom is that the more focused the niche the greater the profitability. The principle is pretty sound in that a focused niche brings you more highly targeted traffic and allows you to focus your income generating efforts.

There are a lot of us out there that our interests a pretty broad ranging and often don’t sustain niche thinking for over the long term. Some don’t necessarily want to create a website or blog on each of those interests, they want to group their interests together on one or even just a few sites. Can sites like that make money? Maki says ‘yes’ but then goes on to say there are no nicheless sites. An interesting premise and worth the read.

Information sells depending on how it is presented. You might want to look at compiling an e-book.
